Bringing light and power to Afghan families

Families headed by women who had no access to electricity are now benefitting from light and power following the installation of solar panels funded by the Linda Norgrove Foundation.

Some of the women and and their daughters make their living by weaving carpets – a single light bulb makes all the difference to their working lives.

The project, carried out on the outskirts of western Kabul, was implemented by one of our longstanding Afghan partners, a trusted Afghan charity.
